Came in for a blood test today, prior to the test I spoke to someone on the phone because I suffer from anxiety and things like that are a massive trigger for me which lead to me fainting
I was told that I would have my hands numbed and that i'd be able to lie down for the procedure rather than sit in the chair because it's quite intimidating and frightining for me, I turned up to the appointment and they didn't acknowledge what I was told on the phone , I tried to reason with them and they refused, I had a full blown panic attack and I received zero help, they knew I was worked up and offered no reassurance whatsoever or anything that I was told on the phone
I missed work and went completley out my way to go to the clinic and I'm appalled with how I was treated, the blood test is incredibly important to me and it's been a huge step for me to even turn up the clinic, even the receptionist told me that i'd be looked after well and i've been massivley let down
Considering it's supposed to be a specialist clinic with people with phobias, i've had better treatment in a walk in centre, I received zero respect and it's made me feel embarassed and lousy
I was under the assumption you'd of been trained to deal with people like me, but guess not.
"Disgusted"
