"Used to like this surgery..."

About: Redbourn HC Medical Practice

It is now impossible to get an appointment. I visited the surgery one day to be told that due to an update I could not book an appointment until the following day. So I made another trip the next day to be told there was a 16 day wait. In total 17 days before getting an appointment is ridiculous.

I have also discovered the tablets I have been described contain lactose and are not suitable for someone with a lactose intolerance..... which explains all my stomach problems. Because you see a different doctor every time, you are told something different every time which means there is no continuation of care.

Because I can't get a doctors appointment, I am still taking the tablets even though they are making me have lactose intolerance symptoms - I don't want the condition that I am taking them for to return.

All routine appointments are also being pushed back. Recently, many doctors retired/left and since then the service has really gone down hill.

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry if you feel that the service has gone downhill.

Merging into one larger practice allows us to now be able to offer appointments across all 3 of our sites for those willing and able to travel. All our GP's have access to our patient's full clinical record and this allows them to provide the necessary care to patients.

At Redbourn we now have a Practice Pharmacist who sees patients with minor illnesses and also will review medication. If you feel that an appointment with Azhr would be of benefit to you then please ask to book an appointment with him. He has 'next day' appointments available.

Our next routine appointment with a GP is in 2 weeks time at Redbourn or in 1 week at the Lodge.
