"Rude and obnoxious"

About: Reading Walk-in Health Centre

I arrived today with an ear infection I've had for the 3rd day now. I'm in limbo at the moment as just moved to the area so registered with a regular GP, but can't make an appointment for 7 days. I go on holiday in 5 days time so wanted to get it checked as only been taking over the counter spray and it doesn't seem to be getting better and worried about the plane making my ears worse.

The doctor, or whatever he was, had a terrible attitude. First, when I said I'd been taking the spray a couple of days and doesnt seem to be gettint any better he scoffed at me and said 'it's only been a few days'. Well, im not a doctor so I don't know how long it takes.

Then when examining my neck and around my ears I gimmaced as it was sore. He the said 'what's the grimmace for, your glands aren't swollen' . Like I was making it up they were sore! Then, he did confirm.i had an infection in my ear and to just take the spray I was already taking. I said I was just worried as wanted to make sure it was ok before I went on holiday, at which point he said they dont make diagnoses based on people's holiday! At which point I said he didn't need to be so sarcastic. I just wanted to make sure it was ok as obviously a plane can affect your ears, and don't want to end up having to go doctors on holiday. I've been in hospital for a week before on holiday and it was horrible being away from home and not speaking the language, so naturally i may be a bit more worried than normal. I came away really upset. Will not go here again. So rude.
