"Seen very quickly with no fuss"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital / Accident and emergency

Visited on a Monday evening after potentially fracturing my wrist. The assessment nurse wrote “minor wrist injury” on my card, rolled her eyes and suspected it was a sprain, without even looking at my wrist. This wasn’t the best of starts.

However I only waited two hours before I met the doctor who was lovely and so kind. She properly assessed my wrist and said there and then my wrist was fractured. An X Ray then proved this and she then told me what my next steps were. Also, the lady that plastered up my wrist/arm was also lovely and kept me calm.

Couldn’t fault this hospital, got seen way before the 4 hour threshold, will definitely come back here if needed.
