I am extremely disappointed at the flippant, un empathic stern attitude from the reception staff. I do not go to the doctors for sympathy and fully appreciate the heavy burden Doctors surgeries are under and the phenomenal amount of patients held on GPs books, this however should not affect the level of service patients receive, whether we are new or existing patients, knowing I had been discharged from hospital with breathing problems and COPD I expected at the very least some empathy and to treat me in a professional manner, not to be palmed off by being sent to a walk in centre only to be re referred back to my GP who holds full control of my health at this point.. I was put on a call back list , this did not happen , I had to attempt another phone call and visit l to go on another " call Back List " . The GP did call me back this time, what a wonderful, caring informative man and loyal to patients. On this occasion the attitude of the reception staff has solely let the practice down. I have been a patient here for over 30 years and feel sad to have to write a negative review based on reception staff. I fully understand people can be horrible and rude to the reception and admin teams, but this does not mean they should be uncaring and rude to the genially unwell patients . they were extremely unhelpful and could not of cared less about me as a person / patient and it is not there place to make medical decisions if I receive the call back or not. peoples life and welfare are at stake here, I will say again the Dr is wonderful - Thank you to him.
"Expected better"
