"Lump in tongue ."

About: Newcastle Dental Hospital

Staff were great but consultant not so. After seeing lady dentist about lump in tongue who seemed concerned as i am myself . Consultant roughly examined my tongue and a previous scar on on roof of mouth from another lump removal. He decided that he would leave it for another six months then if still there send me for MRI scan. Now i was told they would do biopsy as a matter of course. Naturally you worry that any lump is cancer and my way of thinking is that they cant tell if it is unless a biopsy is done . The Consultant seemed very unsure and because his English was a bit broken i didnt quite catch everything he said.I was told by lady dentist if it gets worse to contact them straight away.

How do i know if its getting worse its a lump in my tongue. So now im left feeling very anxious and i wont be reassured until a biopsy has been done and its in black n white that its not cancer. This has left me feeling frustrated and worried as lump still there inside my tongue and doesnt seem to be disappearing anytime soon.
