"Needs serious upgrade. More experienced staff."

About: New Cross Hospital

Attended with 12 year old cancer patient. Had to wait 6 and half hours to receive antibiotics because noone could make a decision on how to administer medication Finally given one dose then sent home with prescription.at 23.30.

Prescription couldn't be got at four different pharmacies because dosage was so high. Had to ring NC to get doctor to ring local pharmacy to fill prescription out ,then had to wait another hour and half. Plus was put on hold for 10.03 minutes only to be connected back to switchboard twice!.

Thank you very much for taking the time to post comments regarding your experience at New Cross Hospital, specifically the doctor helping to fill the prescription. I will share your comments with our staff and wish you well.

In relation to the four pharmacies not filling the prescription, we can only deal with queries in relation to our services, these pharmacies may come under NHS England, who cover pharmacies in the local community, you can contact them on 0300 311 2233 to discuss your concerns.

In relation to the other matters, I am sorry for any distress this matter has caused. To enable us to look further into your concerns, I would be grateful if you could contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01902 695362 who may be able to assist further in relation to your concerns.

Kindest Regards

Alison Dowling
