"Very helpful in our time of need"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Specialist Palliative Care

(as a service user),

The care on the ward has been exceptionally good, Doctors, consultants, all nursing staff, ward food staff, Radiotherapy team and most of all the palliative care team Dr Keenleyside and Nurse Chippendale have been brilliant and very helpful in our time of need.

The worst experience has been on our discharge day - pharmacy kept us waiting for over 3 hours and very frustrating didn't leave till after 6pm

Dear omegatw35

Thank you so much for providing this lovely feedback regarding our ward teams, Radiotherapy and particularly our Specialist Palliative Care team - they genuinely feel privileged to provide great care for patients, particularly as you describe in "your time of need". I will share your kind words which will no doubt inspire them!

I'm sorry to hear that your Pharmacy experience was more difficult, I will discuss this with the Pharmacy team to understand if there any changes we can make to improve, particularly for patients supported by the Specialist Palliative Care Team.

With best wishes Sarah Ward
