"Diabetes Care at Crosshouse"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / General Medicine

(as the patient),

Admitted with blood glucose through the roof - Type 2. Took them 5 days to identify, rectify and medicate. Was like a 5* hotel. Great treatment, respect & dignity from all levels of staff. Got to know what "A wee scratch" really meant.

Follow up at Lister Centre was equally good. Consultant, Specialist Nurse (You know who you are Bill) and Nutritionist worked as a team.

Never been back, never looked back.

Thank you so much for your kind comments about the care you received in the management of your diabetes. We are extremely happy to hear that the service and care you received met your expectations and that you have not looked back since. I have passed your message onto all the services and staff you mentioned in your comments so that they are aware of your appreciation and can be encouraged to continue delivering this level of care to others.

I would like to thank you for posting these positive comments as it means a great deal to hear about the good experiences our patients and service users have.

Kind regards

Patient & Community Relations Team
