"I need not have worried about my cystoscopy"

This was in the Department of Urology Surgery at Good Hope Hospital, Sutton Coldfield. After so much press about bad experiences at hospitals I felt that I had to commend the hospital on this occasion.

It took only minutes to book in and I was then shown where to wait. I had only just picked up a magazine to read when I was called through. I had a five minute consultation to go through a few notes, undressed and a few minutes after that was ready for the proceedure.

I was constantly reassured that it would not be too uncomfortable and would be over before I knew it. They were right, it was all over and done with in a short space of time. All the staff were absolutely brilliant, the whole thing was a breeze and not at all worth the worrying beforehand.
