What I liked
The first physiotherapy session was ok, after which I was given less time e.g. 5 to 10 minutes chatting.
What could be improved
The therapist needs to be more pro-active she seems intelligent but a control freak. Told me I was doing enough exercise at home, and did not wish to work in the clinic with me.
She did not review my exercises at home. When I asked her to, she rushed me on and stopped me and just chatted, telling me I was doing too much. It seemed like she was having a rest with me.
After the first session, she seems to be simply killing time. I have an appointment in a month's time which I am dreading, as she makes promises which she does not deliver. She has promised to send me for exercises, which I hope she dose.
Anything else?
Physiotherapists should be monitored by their supervisors to ensure they are actually helping patients. They can do this by getting feedback from patients. This would ensure they are working pro-actively and respectfully. I had the same experience at Hove Poly. They seem very lazy indeed! The ones I have unfortunately come across that is!
This person, simply ignores the fact that I need pro-active attention.
"Waste of time so far."
