"Fantastic care from caring paramedic"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / NHS 111

(as a parent/guardian),

we called 111 during the early hours of Saturday morning last our daughter had woken up struggling to breathe whilst staying in a motorway services hostel on the M5. The paramedic who attended, Michael arrived very quickly and was calm and caring. He treated our daughter quickly and effectively, diagnosing her condition easily and reassuring us as parents and her. He was friendly and knowledgable, as well as putting our daughter at ease when she had been very upset. We were very greatful for his help.

Dear Charners

Thank you for taking the time to share your story and I hope your daughter is recovering well.

It is always rewarding to hear stories of how our staff are delivering care and support to patients and those around them when they need it most.

We would be happy to share your story with the ambulance staff involved in this instance, however, to do so we will need some specific information. If you would like us to do this, please may I ask you to contact us on either plaudits@swast.nhs.uk or 01392 453 831 and a member of the Patient Engagement Team will be happy to help you further.

Thank you, again, for taking the time to provide us with feedback.

Kind regards,

Sharifa
