I had reason to attend the ED department with an increased heart rate. After booking in I was seen within 5 minutes which was remarkable given the pressure on this and similar departments in other health Boards.

The treatment, care and attention to detail I was afforded by all levels of staff was exemplary.

Following diagnosis and treatment which took almost 3.5 hours, I was transferred to ward 6 where the level of care was no different. We are indeed fortunate in the Borders to have a facility as NHS Borders with such a dedicated, professional and committed team of health care and support relevant staff.
