"Long wait, little help."

About: Dudley Integrated Health and Care NHS Trust

I waited months after a referral to Walsall services, just for someone to call me regarding my crippling anxiety and PTSD.

After that, I was put on what felt like a conveyor belt, with a "therapist" who had no empathy and, gave no semblance of caring about me, or, what had brought me to the point of needing his "services".

He was always late for our sessions as well.

I was asked (more like ordered), to produce a "personal time line", which I did with great difficulty and, when I produced it during one of my sessions, it was read and, greeted with a "thanks for that" and then, nothing.

At the sixth session, I was bluntly told that it would be the last one and, that we were going to try some "mindfulness", which we barely scratched the surface of before I was told that we were done.

After this, I felt even worse and, for the first time in months, actually contemplated suicide.

I received no follow up and, have actually felt worse.

I was made to feel like I was an inconvenience and, just a number to be got rid of to make room for the next one.

Now, I face a daily struggle just to get out of bed and, to find a reason to live for.

Walsall mental health services have not helped me, in fact, I feel they've done quite the opposite.
