"My trials and tribulations"

About: Locked & Specialist Rehab / Spencer South

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

If  I want the treatment to work I have to put the hard work in, It's not just about ticking the boxes. I want to reap what I sow, to change and see the change in myself. I came to a  crossroads in my life where it was prison or hospital, I used to see this as a hindrance but now I see it as a new chapter in my life. Highs and lows, tsunami waves of emotions, surfing many urges and ultimately coming out of it the other side. All this is because of the care and consideration that most aspects of this hospital have shown to me.

It is really inspiring to read your post and a very positive message to share with others. Getting the right treatment to support your needs is crucial and it is also hard work, however, as you are noticing is does make a change if you are willing to work with the programme and be honest with yourself in therapy. Credit to you for putting in the hard work and being able to make a difference for yourself.
