Further to my previous review regarding the water pressure here (which is excellent - the showers here must be amazing) which was taken in good humour, it is only fair that I leave a real review.
So, we had a less than perfect experience with the birth of our first child at a different hospital; they tried their best in difficult circumstances but the birth was fairly traumatic. This resulted in some considerable anxiety for my other half during our second pregnancy.
It has been a totally different experience at Stepping Hill. Every single member of staff here from the consultants to the cleaners has been brilliant. We opted for a an elective C-section to reduce the risk of complications this time, the consultants and midwives have been very supportive about our decision. The procedure itself went very well and the environment was nice and relaxed. All anxieties vanished.
It has also been great to see so many student midwives here. They are all very confident too, which is testament to their training.
10/10 for Stepping Hill, thanks for making this a great experience. Would deliver again here if she wasn't sending me for a vasectomy.
And the water pressure here is amazing.
