"Had an MRI today 23/07/18 and the staff were so..."

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital / General medicine

I had an MRI on my wrist today at 17:40 and the staff I saw couldn’t have been nicer. I am really claustrophobic and really anxious about going in the scanner, I’ve had three in the past and they weren’t pleasant. I always end up panicking and getting in a bit of mess. The two gentlemen I saw promised that all I had to do was press the button and I’d been pulled out straight away. They gave me the confidence to stay in the scanner and when I first panicked touched my back to show how far I was in. I really can’t praise them enough.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience, the MRI Superintendent has forwarded your comments to the MRI team at Queen Elizabeth. It is always gratifying for staff to receive such positive feedback and makes them realise they are doing a fantastic job.

kind regards
