I went in for General Anaesthetic to have 7 teeth removed.
The care was excellent. I can't fault the staff as they were all great.
It took several months to receive treatment
I could have done with a bit more support upfront knowing the following:
1. I had my partner with me for support, and to take me home after the procedure (as I can't drive for 24-48 hrs). There was no request taken for her details and she had no idea where to wait or what to do. As the procedure was expected to be 2-3 hours, it would have been nice to have some information for her.
2. Side effects - I have had no bowel movement for 4 days post G/A. Reading online this is a common side effect. But isn't mentioned anywhere on the NHS website.
I also was informed about dry socket, but could have done with a bit more info to take away with me. Although I've done everything I can to prevent this with salt water as prescribed.
"Very good care"
