"Unsympathetic Clinician"

About: Oadby & Wigston Urgent Care Centre

We visited this centre after being given an appointment by the 111 Line. The sign on the reception desk said 2.5/3 hour wait. We were seen in approx 50 minutes after our appointment. The issue we have is that my wife who had an operation only 5 days ago could hardly walk on her crutches to see the clinician. This person watched my wife struggle to get to where he was standing. When she finally reached him and being in obvious pain she asked if it was much further to the consulting room. Told it was quite a walk. She asked if there was a wheelchair and the reply was have you asked for one. We don't know how far the room is from reception. The clinician did go and get a wheelchair in the end. However the initial impression given was one of coldness and uncaring attitude to someone who can barely walk. Why did the clinician upon seeing my wife's condition not walk towards us and offer a wheelchair. We don't know if this person was a Dr as no greeting etc and no questions about current medication being taken. This is not what we would expect.
