"Lovely doctors and nurses"

About: Milton Keynes Hospital / Accident and emergency

I badly sprained my ankle on a Friday afternoon, wasn't sure if there was something more serious wrong with it and couldn't get a doctor's appointment. I ended up going to A&E on Saturday morning and getting it checked there.

From the get-go, the receptionist was lovely and took down all my details calmly and quickly. It was quite early morning but other doctors and nurses from ambulances were coming in and out, all wishing 'good morning' to each other which created a really lovely environment.

The only problem I really had was that, despite there being only 3 of us in the waiting room, it still took 3 hours to finish being seen to. But the nurse was really lovely, and our doctor was one of the nicest, calmest ones I've ever been treated by. He sent me for an x-ray, and the process was pretty fast after that.

Though the wait might be long, I'd definitely recommend this hospital's A&E.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience in our A&E department over the weekend. We are delighted to hear that despite the wait, you were well looked after and each member of staff you came across was friendly and helpful. We hope you make a swift recovery and that your ankle heals well. Once again thank you for taking the time to tell us about your care.
