I have made two visits to this department. I am sensitive to noise and find it difficult to be in busy areas, another part of the nhs has taught me how to deal with this. On both occasions I was kept waiting for 90 minutes. On the first occasion I was left in the waiting room with the people with broken hearing aids where I became very agitated, this made it hard for me to benefit from my appointment when I was finally seen. On the second occasion I asked to be allowed to wait somewhere quiet but the only option was a side room where I could overhear conversations, the receptionist was very helpful. The corridor was the least worst option. I was not allowed my preferred option of leaving the department to find a suitable environment.
