"Thank goodness for the NHS"

About: Southampton General Hospital / Accident and emergency

My mum was feeling sick on Tuesday and to cut a long story short paramedics arrived and we left home with blue lights probably about 8.30pm. Mum went to resus and i went to relatives room. Didn't wait long. Was taken to resus. Mum had already had a chest x ray.. IV antibiotics and saline all sorted. She was being admitted but was settled in a bed in AMU before midnight!! AMU staff fantastic. Was hoping to be home today but has infection so admitted to G8. Going to ward all went smoothly greeted by friendly staff.Dr updated us. staff approachable. Hoping this standard continues. mum even said her lunch and supper was lovely today. Give credit where it is due from paramedics to all the staff involved we thank you.
