In November 2017 I was referred to the hospital for a chest X-ray as part of a diving medical.
Following that x-ray the radiologist was concerned and within days I was having an ECG.
After the ECG I was immediately admitted to the Cardiac Care Unit.
In the unit I experienced some of the most amazing care by doctors and nurses who were professional and caring all the time.
They made use of some of the most up to date and impressive devices to isolate and treat me and in so doing ruled out some of the most severe condition while being able to decide with me on what was the best course of treatment.
So I now have a pacemaker and am well on my way to a full recovery PLUS I have some very special friends in the nursing staff on the unit.
"I did not even realise I had a heart problem"
