"No-one likes to be in hospital but I could not..."

About: Royal Shrewsbury Hospital

What I liked

I was a patient under urology consultant and his team when I was admitted to ward 26u for major surgery for prostate cancer on 4 november 2011. My operation, treatment and after care on ward 26u was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and I can't thank all of them enough for their caring and kindness shown towards me at this time.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide comments about your recent treatment from our urology team and on Ward 26U.

We aim to provide the highest standards of care every time for every patient, and we are pleased to hear that your experience matched our aspirations. We will pass a copy of your feedback to staff in the relevant departments.

If you think that any particular member of staff, or the whole team deserves special praise and recognition then please consider nominating them for the Chairman's Award. This special award is presented every two months at the Trust Board meeting. It celebrates members of staff who go above and beyond what is expected of them to provide high standards of care for patients, or improve the working lives of their colleagues. More information is available from our website at http://www.sath.nhs.uk/about/chairmansaward.asp

Please note that the NHS Choices website does not share your contact details with the Trust so we are not able to contact you directly.

Thank you again for taking the time and trouble to provide your feedback.
