Second visit to Kingsfold unit today.
Due to an error on our part, we went to the GP instead of the hospital.
I rang Kingsfold to apologise for the error and asked if my mum could still be seen by which time we were 30mins late.
The lovely receptionist said of course mum can still be seen.
After bloods taken etc by Sister we waited for the doctor to review results of the 1st and subsequent visit today.
As we were late we fully expected to be seen after everyone else.
The doctor we saw was worth every minute of the wait. The doctor greeted us with a smile and an apology for keeping us waiting.
My mum is hard of hearing.
At no point did the doctor speak in a patronising, loud voice or make mum feel uncomfortable if she hadn't heard something.
Everything was clearly explained, mum's questions answered and at no time did we felt rushed.
My Mum was treated with care, kindness and dignity.
The registrar doctor, clearly very busy with a waiting room full of people, was considerate and caring as if mum was the only patient there.
Thank you doctor, you will make an excellent Consultant!
