"I feel I don't get the help I need."

About: Unsworth Medical Centre

I have had a few issues with this surgery. I barely ever use the doctor's and when I do it will be for a good reaso, as I try not to take up appointments for silly things. I had alot of trouble last year when booking appointments for something I thought was important. I had one appointment and was told see how you go. So I did the problem got worse. I needed another appointment but the surgery had none. The lady on the phone was very nice and tried to find me a sunday appointment at the prestwich surgery. I managed to get one but when I got there, there was only one doctor on, he had no idea why I was there and to be able to make the checks he needed, he needed another member of staff. He checked my file and nowhere did it state the nature of my appointment. I have had a few appointments since then and I feel anything I go with doesn't get taken seriously. I mentioned to the doctor last time about feel constantly drained and tired. Headaches and other issues. I got told it was just a tension headache and to see how I go for the rest. A few months later I decided to request blood tests to get my b12 checked. My sister has a defiency and so does my mum. So they said with how I'm feeling why don't I just book it in. They didn't have anything for over 3 weeks, I understand the surgery is busy. On arrival, I got asked what I was there for. So I told the nurse I would like to have my bloods checked for my b12. She instantly replied with, well you're supposed to talk to your doctor about that, why do you think it needs checking. So I told her and I felt like her attitude about the situation was awful. I'm constantly being told see how you go. Like I have stated I rarely use the doctors and only use them if I am genuinely concerned about something. I wanted it checking so it can be either sorted or ruled out. I work 50 hours a week and some days can barely lift my arms or move my legs to walk, and my job is very physical. I'm a young girl I should have the energy to do it. I am seriously considering moving gp, I feel like nothing is ever taken seriously. I have been in with problems about my back aswell and have been told to take ibuprofen. The reason why I went is because the ibuprofen doesn't work.
