"Crumpsall North Manchester ENT"

About: North Manchester General Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as the patient),

Went for a consultant appointment who was running 1.5 hours behind. I waited 2 hours to be seen. When I eventually was seen, it wasn't withwho I expected but a registrar who took 2 "emergency" phone calls during my consult. Then a nurse walked in speaking quietly to the doctor's assistant. The two of them discussed meeting with other doctors and patients as if I was not in the room. I felt non valued as a patient, that my concerns were regarded as inconsequential and that he did not really have time for me. He prescribed steroids for 6 months but implied my dizziness was a symptom I was making up - as i was able to walk straight on a line!  I felt the care was rushed and his prescribing steroids for 6 months a bit OTT.

By the time I left there was virtually no one around and I struggled to get out of the hospital - the signage was shocking. I had also struggled to find where I was going on arrival at the hospital and it took me a while to find a wall map: two people I asked had no idea where the section I was looking for, was.

Overall a VERY BAD experience.
