What I liked

I was admitted as an emergency case and was treated quickly and with exceptional care. the medical staff were frank and open with me which i prefered. My condition was life threatening and required a 6 hour emergency surgery to my stomach. I was on Stowupland ward and found the staff to be excellent even though they were rushed off their feet they always found time for me

i was obviously in pain and I was very happy with the pain relief i was given and was visited by the pain control specialist who listened to my views and took action at once. In regards to food when i was able to eat I found the food was more than enough for even the biggest appetite it was well cooked, hot and served to a good standard and I should know I am a Chef with many years experience of high volume catering operations.

What could be improved

I found nothing that could be improved upon.

This was my first visit to a hospital in such circumstances and i was impressed. I hear and read so many negative comments that I have taken the time to make my view known.
