About: Pontefract General Infirmary

I came to the hospital for my 5yo son not realising there was no A&E department anymore. I was quite worried but they reassured me, booked us in and said if they needed to they would transfer us to Pinderfields. They did all the checks they needed to by a nurse practitioners. He was amazing with my boy and reassured us many times. We was in and out within a hour and told if we needed to go back at all to come straight back and it’s no bother at all. Thank you to all the staff :)

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your recent experience.

Coming into hospital for anyone can be a daunting experience and in particular, for children.

I am so glad staff made your experience a positive one and provided you with the reassurance any parent would need.

I will pass on your lovely comments to the staff involved as they will be thrilled to know what a positive impact they had on both you and your son's experience.

Thank you again and I wish your son a speedy recovery.

Kind regards

Clare Blackburn
