About: North Devon District Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I was admitted to the Day Surgery Unit @ NDDH in July 2018, from the moment I arrived I received the highest professional care imaginable.

All the staff were friendly and made me feel at ease and most of all I felt confidence in their ability to ensure I would be safe and secure.

I am inquisitive by nature especially from a medical viewpoint and the staff made every effort to answer my questions regarding my operation. Particular thanks to Alice, my anaesthetist who was firing replies to me even as I drifted off...……………!

Many thanks to Mr Foster my surgeon, Emma in Recovery, Michael and Nicky, the whole team were great and if you have to be in hospital then sign up these guys.

It's often fashionable to knock the NHS but when you experience care of this quality you realise it's the staff that make it great, thank you everyone at NDD Hospital.

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience with us. I am sorry you needed to attend the Day Surgery Unit (DSU), however it is pleasing to learn you received highly professional care.

I am glad you were made to feel at ease, safe and secure, and that all your questions were answered. We are lucky in North Devon to have such dedicated staff.

I hope that you are now recovering and I will ensure your comments are forwarded to the Manager of the DSU to share with the staff involved in your care.
