"Son's operation"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Ear, Nose & Throat (ward 3b)

(as a parent/guardian),

Removal of Tonsils and Adenoids and insertion of grommets.

My son underwent this operation at the beginning of July after a 9 month wait.

I was confident in the process.  The waiting area was clean.  I was frustrated with lack of signal and wifi.

Dear Tracyl247

Thank you for sharing your feedback on Care Opinion.

I am pleased to hear that your son has had his surgery and I hope he is recovering well.

Our teams will be delighted to hear that you were happy with his care and that you felt the environment was clean and satisfactory. Your feedback will be shared with the ENT and short stay team.

We understand that when you are in hospital with a child it can be a long wait and keeping connected is an important means of both passing time and communicating with others outside of the hospital. We recognise that this is not always as effective as we would like and are engaging with our colleagues who deal with our Information Technology to consider how this can be improved. Your feedback on this issue will help to inform these discussions.

Best wishes

Pam
