"Waiting times"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a service user),

The waiting time to be reviewed by a Dr was 4 hours 40 minutes.   This is understandable due to the high capacity, however, patients were not kept informed.   There was no display of expected waiting times, you were not told on arrival what the expected waiting time would be.   This led to frustration and when the receptionist was approached after 3 hours to simply ask 'what is the expected waiting time' she appeared put out that we asked.
