"Waiting times - open surgery"

About: The Harrowby Lane Surgery

After arriving at the surgery at 8am to be told my appointment would be 9am it was past 10am before I went in which meant I was sat waiting for over 2 hours. There were 2 periods of 25 minutes where none of the 3 doctors called any patients through for appointments. What were all 3 of them doing in that time.....twice? Shocking service

Thank you for your comment.

I have reviewed the clinic times and spoken to all staff members involved.

Unfortunately due to the nature of the open surgery we are unsure what problems the patients will present with.

Unfortunately this morning involved two emergency situations that took a considerable long time to sort for both GP's and I can not see at anytime where the Nurse Practitioner had a period over 20 minutes without calling a patient through.

I appreciate it must be frustrating when no one is being call through but can assure you they were dealing with patients the whole morning.

I have spoken to reception and ask them to keep the waiting room informed when the doctors have been held up with an emergency situation.

I am sorry for your experience and if you wish to discuss this further please feel free to contact me direct at the surgery
