What I liked
The staff were very caring & I felt very safe & looked after.
Midwives responded quickly to buzzer & very available to offer help.
Meals were good & served hot.
What could be improved
The staff on whitlow were extremely over stretched & struggled to meet my needs on occassion, eg I was told mid morning that I would be discharged after lunch but I was only discharged at 9pm after many times of asking & eventually demanding. I was told the staff were very busy but did feel neglected.
On the maternity ward I was waiting to go to theatre after the birth of my daughter when the midwife gave me tea & toast, this then meant I had to wait hours to go to theatre because I'd eaten. Frustrating for me & could easily have been avoided
