"Excellent Service"

I had a quadruple heart bypass at the Golden Jubilee  Hospital.

I was extremely impressed with the seamless service from the operation through to intensive care, high dependency and onto the ward. I felt totally in control of my recovery throughout this journey. My excellent surgeon Mr Pathi and his team did a great job and the specialist nursing team worked efficiently with care and compassion. 

The rehab programme started on day 2 with the physio setting goals with me and encouraging me to work towards my discharge. I found this very empowering and helped me to focus on having a positive attitude and cope with this traumatic event.

On the ward, 3 East, each member of staff provided first class care and attention and again the focus was on being as independent as possible. 

I was ready for discharge 5 days after my operation and will always be in debt to Mr Pathi, his surgical team and all the excellent nursing and support staff. 

This hospital prepares the patient well before surgery by providing loads of information and a goal setting booklet and their self management approach makes all the difference!!
