"Staff are second to none"

About: Strathcarron Hospice / Day Care Service

(as a relative),

Mum had battled cancer 4 times in her life. And when they could do no more it was the hospice and strathcarron that were there for her. She was there as a day patient every friday and the help and support she recieved was above superb. She met a lot of new friends amongst staff and other patients it was unbelieveable. The staff and what they do are second too non. Sadly mum passed away 3 yrs ago and anything I can do to help fund the strathcarron hospice would be a pleasure

Hello

Thank you for posting your story on Care Opinion. It’s very much appreciated that after a period of three years, you still reflect so positively about your mum’s care whilst she was a patient at our Day Care Service. Staff will be able to read your story and have great satisfaction in knowing that your mum’s weekly attendance made such a difference to you all as she travelled through her different cancer journeys. Day Care offers so much to patients (and their families) and as you mentioned, it is often the support and company of fellow patients that add richness to those day visits.

Thank you for taking the time to post, it will most definitely help with letting others know that Strathcarron can be a very supportive addition to a person’s care. I hope your positive memories continue to stay strong.

Lesley
