"Exceptional service of care! Cannot say a bad word"

I recently came to this practice with a medical condition and I am extremely impressed with my service of care.

Within an hour of contacting the surgery I was given an appointment with a doctor who I found incredibly attentive and caring. I was given the correct treatment and helpful advice from him in just a 5 minute consultation, I couldn’t ask for more!

The last surgery I was registered to had a first come first serve appointment system which meant you had to ring up 8 o'clock when it was next to impossible to get through, and within half an hour all the appointments were gone for the day and they would ask you to ring back the next day. Whereas at this surgery you have anywhere between 8 and 1 to ring up with the guarantee that you will be dealt with on that day which is much more effective for my schedule.

it's understandable that it takes awhile to get through on the phones as there is a larger time period for people to be offered treatment in, but it’s the same at every GP surgery! At least here I have a 5 hour gap to get same day treatment rather than 30 minutes at the beginning of the day!

I personally do not mind speaking with the receptionist about my issues. It is their job to pass this information to the doctor and feed back the doctors response/ advice! At no point do the receptionist diagnose me or make clinical decisions, they merely gather as much information as possible for the doctor to better understand my problem, thus provide me with the most accurate treatment. Personally I think this is a very time effective method as this allows the doctors to deal with more people in a day!

Overall I cannot fault this surgery, with very polite friendly staff, a warm welcoming and tidy building, and a very effective system with great service of care
