"No pressure and my best interests at heart"

About: Optegra Birmingham Eye Hospital

Had an initial (free) appointment at Optegra on 7/7/2018 to find out more about my options in regards to eye correction and elimination of a slight squint. Had a number of tests carried out (eye pressure, prescription etc) and then had a discussion with a consultant. All stages of the appointment were clearly explained. I was, unfortunately, told that none of Optegra's services would be suitable for my eye condition therefore I am not viable for eye correction. However, since my issue isn't actually do with my poor vision and having to wear glasses (my issue is with my slight squint) the consultant was able to provide me with examples of other places that offer eye surgery. The consultant did not try to persuade me to take any of the services available at Optegra and clearly had my best interests at heart. While I left not being able to take advantage of any of their services, the advice they provided me with and the fact that they did not try to force me to agree to anything was absolutely refreshing. The high street names such as Optimax and Optilase have not stopped contacting me since I shallowly enquired.
