"referall for second eye cateract surgery"

About: Pontefract General Infirmary

I had my left eye cateract removed on 18 may 2018, after waiting nigh on 12 months.

I attended my optician for eye test and referall after a 4 week period for the other eye surgery

After ringing the Opthalmic Department on numerous occations I am told Ithat I still have not

been referred and that I should contact my Opticians again and again and again He is now

sick of seeing me ,sent all the paperwork .Im 81 and suffer from Parkinsons and have lost

the ability to see or read properly

I dont wish to jump the queue but would like to know I h

been referred Any help appreciated.

I am sorry that there has been an unacceptable delay in the referral being received and I can fully appreciate how frustrated this has left you feeling.

I wonder if contacting our PALS team would help.

They may be able to look into this for you and find out what has happened.
