Whilst on holiday in Cornwall, I was unfortunate to have a recurrence of my Epilepsy - but FORTUNATE in being recusitated and treated at the excellent Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) Truro, after transportation there and treatment from the Paramedics of the Southwest Ambulance Service. At every stage of my treatment through the A & E unit, Critical Care and High Dependency - and eventual recovery and discharge from Tintagel Ward, my husband (who was possibly more traumatised than I was!) and I were treated with professionalism, compassion and care that was way above any mere ‘call of duty’. Please will you pass on sincere thanks from myself and my family to the Medical, Nursing and Care and Administrative staff of all levels in the above departments - (and not forgetting the MRI Team) You were all not just professional but also kind and caring at every level and in every situation. Thank you all so much. It must be difficult to provide care to a holiday population that increases the number of people of your area as much as yours does - but you certainly seem to be able to rise to the challenge - and to do so with care and expertise that is, in my experience, second to none. Many, many thanks. You are all amazing people - the NHS and our country should be proud of every one of you.
