I got to the eye A&E at 10.30, was checked in very quickly and was being seen by 11. Carefully examined eyesight (after being poked with a sharp stick directly in the eyeball), then gave local anaesthetic and carefully examined my eye. Explained exactly what the problem was (scratch across middle of eye exposing nerve endings), was given antibiotic drops and pupil dilator drops and told to monitor it for 48 hours. Very re-assuring service by the nurse and the doctor in a clean and friendly A&E department
"Phenomenal service"
