My partner was admitted after having a seizure at work. Despite being a very scary time (he had no previous history of them), I wanted to thank the staff that dealt with us for their time and professional care.
Starting with the two young paramedics who were excellent (to the point where they came back to check on him and say goodbye before they left, something which they were not obliged to do but was very gratefully received), to the nurses who made him comfortable and took his bloods etc very quickly, despite the ward he was admitted to being very busy, and the doctor who came and spent significant time with us. We were made to feel as comfortable as we possibly could in that situation, even down to being offered complimentary tea, coffee and sandwiches.
All in all, from admittance to release, we were in the hospital for around about 5 hours, including the time it took to take bloods and get the results, and also do a scan and also feedback those results, and we were not left unattended for more than 15 minutes or so at a time without a medical professional coming to speak to us or keep us updated.
This by far exceed our expectations and just wanted to thank everyone involved for their help.
In the nicest possible way, I hope we won't be back - but it's good to know what an amazing team is in place should we find ourselves back there.
"Thank you to a wonderful team"
