"Eye Casualty"

About: Royal Berkshire Hospital

I attended eye casualty on Sunday. After speaking to my oncology team. As needed due to chemo I had my own room to wait in and was seen quickly. I was booked an appointment to return on weds and told i would receive a call as they wanted a scan done mon/Tues.after no call I rang up. Was transferred around between people and then cut off. I called my oncology nurses who checked the scan appointment for me. When I arrived wednesday I was told they don't have appointments and I would have to wait. They didn't seem to understand my risk of infection by staying waiting. I am very unimpressed, this is the worst department I have had to deal with. I was eventually seen after having to complain again about waiting. I have to return again unfortunately next week so I hope this has been taken on board.
