The medical staff are wonderful and very caring,no complaints , the food is mediocre at best, rubbish at worst. The real horror is being on a mixed ward, sleeping next to unknown men who keep you awake with snoring etc. I found this embarrassing as I had a catheter in place for a few days.. In 2018 in a modern hospital this is not acceptable. One night I was so distressed I went to the relatives room to get away from the man in the next bed. I was in tears a d asked to be moved away from him as I had not slept for two nights. The staff where very kind and moved my bed to another room. When I was discharged home I wept with relief when I got to my own bed. Please do not put anyone in a mixed ward.
