"Excellent service from the department, but awful..."

About: Royal Preston Hospital

What I liked

mostly everything was going well until I was given a post op blood pressure check,

at this time the cuff was getting too tight and when I mentioned it to the person doing it she continued until I complained again when she took it off, then she disconnected everything and reconnected it and started again, the same happened leaving me in severe pain after complaining again it was again disconnected, then it was applied much looser this time and tried again, by this time my hand was really quite swollen, bright red, and throbbing with the pain, tears were pouring down my face and she said there was no need to get upset about it, I said" I am not upset I am in pain and it was hurting me" it felt like my head was about to explode and left me with a very severe headache which I am having a lot of trouble getting rid of, I felt like she did not understand what I was saying, and she offered no sympathy to the pain I was suffering.

What could be improved

Better communication and understanding of problems arising from simple procedures, and understanding the need for better patient care.

Anything else?

The after effects of the blood pressure tests were far more painful than the actual plastic surgery,

and longer lasting.
