"emergency admission due to extremely painful..."

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary / Accident and emergency

The ambulance was called by my daughter on Friday am at aprox 4.30', sorry I can't be more precise. A nurse rang from Leeds to talk to me and said that as it was not life threatening i could be be waiting aprox 4 hrs., but the ambulance came from Doncaster within less than an hour.

The two crew were so very kind.snd transported me to Doncaster emergency I was in so much pain they gave me gas and air to get me off the bed and down the stairs. Not once did I feel a nuisance. They were both so kind. I did have to wait a while in a cubicle, but a nurse came to ask me questions and a young lady came to take my blood pressure. A doctor did eventually see me and again he was so very kind and gentle.

He gave me strong painkillers and diazepam and sent me for an ex Ray .inwas discharged aprox 9 am. A gentlemanl rang me today from the orthopaedic unit and said my documents would be sent to my gp. I did ask him to pass on my thanks to the ambulance and emergency staff and he said he would.

by the way I am aged 82.

Please thank all concerned. I was in the green are.

Thank you once again
