"End of life Care"

About: Kelling Hospital

My mother was admitted to Kelling on the 5th of June for end of life care. The staff were very kind to mum and to the family. Despite one or two problems with pain control everything went as well as one could expect. Problems were felt with at once and not left. The majority of the staff were very caring. We only had a problem with one staff member which compares more than favourably with a major hospital and was dealt with. As a family we would recommend

Kelling as a caring and conscientious unit that should be supported and given more help on the Hospice care side. Tis is a valuable resource that should be kept within the community it serves

Hello Wendy

Thank you for taking time to post your comment. We are so pleased to have feedback about the care we deliver and reassured that, in the majority, you found that the staff were very caring and that any problems were dealt with promptly. I will make sure your comment is shared with the Kelling Hospital team but also highlight wider in the Trust as comments like yours are invaluable for celebrating good practice but also helping us to identify areas where we can do better.

kind regards

Christine Little, Patient Experience Lead, Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust
