"Offhand care from Physio"

I recently had an operation in the short stay unit. I have the utmost praise and respect for all the doctors and nurses during my stay in spite of having my operation cancelled on one occasion and then finally called to the hospital at 7.30am only not to be operated on till late afternoon. I accepted this as I know unavoidable things do occur. However, my one complaint was with a offhand physio who when she was going through the exercises I needed to do post op. was to say the least, less then gentle. I requested to see a female physio for my follow up appt.was told by her that no one was available which I thought was very strange.

A few days after I came home I phoned the Physio.dept and explained the situation which seemed to surprise the person I spoke to and fortunately she was able to book me in with a female physio on the same day as original appt.

This was quite a stressful time for me and again I cant emphasise enough how brilliant the short care staff were but what a let down by what I feel was a very uncaring physio.
