"needed a stitch in as the wound mended separately."

About: Pinderfields General Hospital / Accident and emergency

One nurse said they were being threatened that they will all be turned gay if they do job right. The glue didn't mend all the wound and part of it healed SEPARATELY TO THE OTHER PART OF THE WOUND- I asked for it stitching and they refused. the doc didn't even give her name probably as they knew they had done it wrong. Perhaps they can arrange for glue to be sold at chemists so we can tend to our own wounds? I told her I was not happy with it but to no avail. I can't do anything she said. if I can have stitched please let me know.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your recent experience of visiting our services.

From reading your post, it is clear that you did not have a positive experience of our A&E Service and for that I am sorry.

Staff should have clearly explained to you what type of procedure they were doing and the reasons why.

It appears this did not happened and has possibly left you feeling frustrated and anxious about your wound.

If you have concerns about your wound, then please visit your GP surgery or your local walk-in centre for advice.

However, if you want to discuss your concerns further then please do speak to our PALS team who can be contacted on 01924 542972 or via email my-tr.palsmidyorks.nhs.uk

Thank you again for your feedback.

Kind regards

Clare Blackburn

(Patient Liaison Improvement Lead)
