"Doctor did not turn up to the clinic"

I attended an appointment at The Leicester Royal Infirmary in Clinic 5 earlier this week. The appointment was my first one at this clinic, i arrived about 15 mins before time, my appointment was for 1.30 p.m. The nurse came to speak to me at 1.45 p.m. to inform me that the doctor had not arrived in clinic and was due to be there for 1.30 p.m. The nurse said that they were trying to contact the doctor to find out what time they would arrive in clinic. Just after 2 p.m. the nurse said that the doctor had rang to say they would not be coming to clinic at all that afternoon. I asked if I could see one of the other doctors in the clinic at the time and was told no, there was no one else available. I was very upset about this and felt that this was not a fair way to treat patients.
